Exploring the Intersection of Art, History, and Culture at the Napa Valley Museum
The Main Gallery regularly features major art exhibitions, including world premieres, whereas the Spotlight Gallery focuses on local artists who are just starting to capture the attention of the arts community. The History Gallery draws from the museum’s deep permanent reserves to showcase the narrative of Napa Valley’s long and vibrant history. Current exhibits include Herrero Holiday, featuring giclée prints and originals, all available for purchase, by acclaimed Napa Valley artist Lowell Herrero (through January 16); Dangerous Games: Treacherous Toys We Loved As Kids, an entertaining exploration of the questionable and downright deleterious gadgets and playthings we amused ourselves with in decades past (through February 13); and Land and People of Napa Valley, a permanent exhibit that tells the story of how the valley’s one-of-a-kind geology made our part of the world the wine-producing powerhouse it is today. The Napa Valley Museum is open Thursday – Sunday, 11 A.M. – 4 P.M.
Address: 55 Presidents Circle, Yountville, CA 94599
